Beam Raising Marks Key Step in Hellertown Neighborhood Hospital Project

Iron Hill Construction Management (Iron Hill) celebrated a key milestone at the newest Lehigh Valley Health Network Neighborhood Hospital today with a ceremonial beam raising at the site in Hellertown, Pennsylvania. The three-story, 90,000-square-foot facility will house a full-service emergency room on the first floor and medical office space on the two upper levels.

Working alongside Peron Development and J.G. Petrucci Company, Iron Hill is managing construction of the advanced healthcare facility, which features a structural steel frame, high-performance envelope systems, and state-of-the-art mechanical infrastructure to support 24/7 emergency care. The hospital’s first floor will include 11 ER beds, 10 inpatient beds, imaging services, durable medical equipment, and HNL Lab Medicine. The upper levels will house primary and specialty care, adult and pediatric rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, and a first-of-its-kind comprehensive sleep center.

The ceremonial beam raising brought together LVHN leadership, project partners, and members of the local community to mark this key milestone. Attendees toured the site, observed the placement of the final steel components, and celebrated the progress toward a facility designed to provide accessible, high-quality care for the community.

The facility is scheduled to open in mid-2026 and will join LVHN’s growing network of neighborhood hospitals designed to expand access to emergency and inpatient care while reducing pressure on larger regional hospitals.
