Ribbon Cutting for Aurobindo Pharma USA’s New Pharmaceutical Facility in East Windsor, NJ

Iron Hill Construction Management (Iron Hill) joined Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc. (Aurobindo), East Windsor officials, and community leaders to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Aurobindo’s new 170,000-square-foot pharmaceutical research, manufacturing, and distribution facility on Windsor Center Drive. The project marks the third facility on Aurobindo’s East Windsor campus and adds significant capacity for the company’s over-the-counter and injectable product lines.

Constructed over a ten-month period, the building features advanced mechanical systems, clean manufacturing zones, and energy-efficient components designed to meet stringent pharmaceutical standards. Site enhancements include new walkways, outdoor seating areas, and extensive landscaping to integrate the new facility with the existing campus environment.

“Delivering a highly technical facility on an accelerated schedule takes a great deal of coordination and expertise,” said Steve Hull, Vice President and Senior Project Manager at Iron Hill. “Our team worked closely with Aurobindo from design through construction to ensure every system and space supports their manufacturing and research goals.”

The ribbon cutting was attended by East Windsor Mayor Janice S. Mironov, Mercer County Executive Daniel Benson, Aurobindo CEO Swami Iyer, and other executives and dignitaries. Mayor Mironov commended the expansion as a major milestone in the township’s growing pharmaceutical corridor, while Iyer emphasized Aurobindo’s continued commitment to innovation, local investment, and job creation.

The new facility complements Aurobindo’s existing 606,620-square-foot building, which serves as the company’s North American headquarters. Together, these facilities strengthen Aurobindo’s footprint in East Windsor and reinforce the area’s position as a hub for pharmaceutical research and advanced manufacturing.
