Iron Hill partnered with Northampton Community College (NCC) to deliver an $18,000,000 expansion of the student housing complex at the college’s Bethlehem, PA campus. The project introduced two new residence halls and added key campus amenities, including a full-service dining facility, kitchen, outdoor communal spaces, and enhanced safety measures to accommodate growing student enrollment. Previously, on-campus housing options lacked food service and other features found at peer institutions. Working collaboratively with USA Architects, college leadership, and students, Iron Hill helped shape a cost-effective plan aligned with NCC’s long-term goals.

The new residential buildings were thoughtfully designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing student housing, originally built in 1986. The result: a modern campus living environment that now accommodates 330 additional students. New features include a spacious dining commons with a 35-foot ceiling and scenic views, 24-hour security, student lounges, and free laundry facilities.

The project also delivered improvements beyond the buildings themselves, including upgraded stormwater infrastructure and refreshed campus landscaping.
