Iron Hill Construction Management completed the Development and Design/Build of a 100,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility for ICO Polymers at 6355 Farm Bureau Road in Allentown, PA. As a leading global provider of specialized polymer services, including specialty powder production, compounding, blending, and size reduction, the facility was purpose-built to support complex, high-performance manufacturing operations.
Given the nature of polymer processing and material handling, a significant focus of the project centered on hazardous material design and compliance. The facility incorporates specialized hazmat storage areas, enhanced fire protection infrastructure, and code-compliant containment measures to support the safe handling of plastics, rubber, and wax materials. Every element was engineered to meet rigorous regulatory standards while providing a safe, high-functioning environment for ongoing operations and future growth.
