Iron Hill delivered the Design/Build construction of the 570,100 sq. ft. Middlesex Logistics Center, a Class-A warehouse and distribution facility located just off Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike.
The project involved transforming a former landfill through a complex site preparation process. Iron Hill managed the import of approximately 750,000 tons of fill to raise the site 14 feet, implemented deep dynamic compaction, and installed a methane extraction system to ensure long-term environmental stability.
Vertical construction was completed in just eight months and features tilt-up construction, 36’ clear heights, 108 cross-dock loading doors, two drive-in doors, 130′ truck courts, 60′ concrete aprons, parking for 176 cars and 103 trailers, and access to rail service. The facility also includes energy-efficient upgrades such as a white TPO roof, T5 lighting, and a 1,000-AMP, 480/277V electrical service.
