Iron Hill delivered the full redevelopment and Design/Build of a 148,850 sq. ft. food-grade distribution facility for Gargiulo Produce on a 12-acre site formerly occupied by the Cooper Alloy Foundry. The project began with the demolition of 17 obsolete industrial buildings and included extensive environmental remediation.
The scope of work involved the removal of 25,000 cubic yards of VOC-contaminated soils and the extraction of 25,000 gallons of impacted groundwater. The site was then transformed to meet the operational needs of Gargiulo Produce, one of the nation’s largest fresh produce distributors. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.
